The “Grab and Go” meal program has now been extended through June 30.

Remember this is a free service & will not come out of your students lunch account so we strongly encourage families to take advantage of this opportunity.

In order to plan for the food service program, we are asking parents to sign up on the attached Google form.  If you know of a family that does not have internet access, please have them call St. Teresa of Calcutta School at 563-532-9353 to register.

“Grab and Go” meals are distributed on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12:00-12:30.  Meals are distributed throughout the district in Calmar, Festina, Ossian and Spillville.

Calmar  – South Winneshiek High School (southside by the high school office)

Festina  – Festina Community Center

Ossian – east/back door of the St. Teresa of Calcutta School

Spillville – Spillville School parking lot

Celebration of Promises

Thank you for being a part of the St. Teresa of Calcutta Community. It is with a heavy heart we are unable to have the social gathering of the 2020 Celebration of Promises due to the uncertainty of group gatherings and for your safety and wellbeing. We pray for a break in this pandemic and that we will be able to gather again next year to continue our annual fundraiser for our wonderful school, St. Teresa of Calcutta.

Although we will not be gathering in person, below is an outline of ways you can support the goal of fundraising for St. Teresa of Calcutta’s “Celebration of Promises”:

  1. Ticket Sales-if you had already purchased a ticket and would like a refund due to the cancellation, please contact a chair member before May 30th, 2020. Any non-refunds will be considered a donation towards the fundraising goal and we THANK YOU! Please note we are not transferring ticket sales to next year.

  2. Apple Basket Raffle-Committee members will continue to sell Apple Basket tickets until sold out (limit of 200 tickets) or until the drawing on May 30th. Please contact one of the chair members if you would like to purchase a ticket. This is for over $800 in Apple products: iPad, iWatch, Airpods and iTunes Gift Cards. 1 ticket for $50 or 2 tickets for $75.

  3. Online Auction-We will be holding an online auction May 20th to May 30th, closing of items will start at 6:30 pm on May 30th, with item 1 and each item after will close every 20 seconds. If you would like to see any of the auction items in person you can visit the Festina Community Center Friday, May 29th from 4pm to 8pm or Saturday, May 30th from 9am to 4pm. You will need to register on the auction site, but you WILL NOT pay online. Pickup of auction items and payments can be done on Sunday, May 31st from 9am to 2pm at the Festina Community Center. Auction items can be viewed and bid on at www.sweeneyauctionservice.com.

  4. Wine Donation-The wine purchased for the evening of the Celebration of Promises will be available at the Festina Community Center during viewing and pickup times or until gone. A free will donation towards the fundraising goal will be greatly appreciated!

Without everyone’s generous support and Jodi’s help the Celebration of Promises online auction would not be possible!

Although the 2020 Celebration of Promises gathering is cancelled, we are continuing to pursue the fundraising goal for this one event. We realize that you are missing out on the gathering of friends, food and games along with this being a time of uncertainty, but we hope that you continue to be as generous as in the past. We greatly appreciate your understanding and continued support at this trying time and look forward to being together again next year!
